He is also a proficient cataract and refractive surgeon Proficient in all kinds of advanced oculoplastic surgeries involving specialized skills Managed numerous oculoplastic and complex ocular oncology disorders Dr. Rituraj Baruah is an experienced Oculofacial and orbital surgeon. He did his Post Graduation (M.S) from Gauhati Medical College in the year 2004. Pursuing his interest of oculoplasty & orbital surgery, he joined the renowned Oculoplastic surgeon Dr. A.K.Grover, in VISION EYE CENTRE & Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, New Delhi. During this period, under the skillful eye of Dr. Grover he was exposed and trained in all kinds of advanced oculoplastic procedures and their applications.He then joined LADY HARDING MEDICAL COLLEGE, New Delhi as a senior resident. Here, for the next 3 years, in addition to refining his surgical skills of oculoplasty, he learned the skill of teaching as well. After completing his residency, he joined Vision Eye Centre as a consultant for the next 7 years doing all kinds of advance oculoplastic and reconstructive surgery.He served as a Senior Consultant at Artemis Hospital, Gurugram and also as visiting consultant for oculoplasty to many hospitals in Delhi and other states. He is proficient and had performed numerous Cataract and refractive surgeries. He is also trained in facial aesthetic and facial trauma in Singapore. He has attended several CMEs, conferences and workshops throughout the country and abroad.He has made numerous presentations (video presentation as well) in state as well as national conferences and had written many chapters in different textbooks.He was the guest faculty in the Delhi ophthalmological society annual conference, annual conference of Oculoplastic Society of India and Asia Pacific society of plastic and reconstructive surgery, Japan .
