Dr. Vivek Barun is a Senior Consultant (Neurology & Epilepsy) in the Department of Neurology , at Artemis Hospital. Previously he worked as a consultant Neurologist at Shree Aggarsain International Hospital, Rohini, Delhi, Shree Gomati Hospital and Lalita Hospital, Warangal, Telangana, and as an associate consultant at Fortis Hospital, Shalimar Bagh, Delhi. He has vast experience in treating all kinds of Neurological disorders with a special interest in Epilepsy. After finishing DM Neurology he did one year of postdoc toral fellowship in epilepsy from the prestigious Nizam’s Institute of Medical Science, Hyderabad where he received advanced training in managing difficult-to-treat epilepsy cases of children and adults involving medical management, surgical management, VNS, DBS, Subdural grid, Stereo EEG, ECOG, placement of sphenoidal electrodes and Long term-Video EEG monitoring. He is keenly interested in academics and regularly participates as a faculty member in various national and international forums. Clinical Focus: Epilepsy (Children and adults), Drug resistant Epilepsy, Presurgical evaluation of drug refractory Epilepsy cases, Video EEG, Parkinson’s disease, tremor, ataxia, Headache, stroke, Peripheral Neuropathy, Vertigo, Dementia.
